________

Happy here too..
πŸ–€ In this body,
πŸ–€ In this skin,
πŸ–€ With this soul,
πŸ–€ With this heart,
πŸ–€ In this life,
πŸ–€ In these moments,
πŸ–€ With this love,
πŸ–€ With my people.
Love, MπŸ’‹

..I wrote this at 2am CT in my downtown Austin hotel room on April 17, 2019, on a work trip visiting my FB team. Picture taken on my Seattle trip the week prior.

Grateful for the time I get alone (especially on tripsπŸ˜…) to pause, reflect, write, and find more pieces of myself (oddly the most in tune in the late hours of the night). Pausing to capture how much growth has happened since this time 2 years ago…learning how to love the hardest parts to love and the results are finding endless peace and joy in just being all of me.

Forever thankful for my people in my life who give me more support and love than I can ask for…you know who you are!❀️ I did a lot of traveling in 2019 (achieving one of my most aggressive travel goals ever of at least one trip a month) and really love what I found everywhere I go.

This all still rings true today in August 2020. This poem I feel even stronger today. Grateful I captured this moment back in April 2019 through writing..an outlet I’m so passionate about. I said then that I was hoping to do more of this in this new wave, new transitionβœ¨πŸ¦‹ Here it is. A year and a half later -in the midst of ever-changing times. That passion has developed into my pursuit of wanting to blog and share more with a community of people who just want to live good, grateful lives.

Anyways happy soul searching my friends..wishing the same for you and whatever you’re looking for right now✨ May it find you when you least expect it.

I love you. I hope you’re happy you’re here.

Love, M πŸ’‹

P.S. A bit of context. The poem starts off “Happy here too..” because I had posted a couple days prior “Happy here” as my caption about my Seattle trip visiting my longest childhood best friend, Brittany, for her 25th birthday. I didn’t know it back in April 2019, that a year later I would be moving to Seattle. It wasn’t until around December of 2019 that I began considering buying a home in Seattle after years of saving and home hunting in the Bay Area. I never had thought of any other place outside of home. Little did I know that it would literal divine intervention that I’d end up in Seattle in 2020.

I’m even happier here.
